The wait is OVER!

This Friday marks the return of the Premier League, which we could scarcely be more excited about.

Naturally, the process is still ongoing for qualifications for UEFA’s three competitions, as well as some cup action here and there.

Customarily, EPLNews.org is here to help you sift through and find the best value around for your slips.

As usual, do make sure to check out our YouTube channel for the best content related to the Premier League and beyond.

So let’s see what this mid-week brings us.

CSKA Moscow vs Akron – CSKA Moscow to win (1.55); Over 1.5 goals for CSKA (1.53)

We start our tour with the customary backing of CSKA Moscow.

They have won all head-to-head matches against Akron at home, scoring at least 3 goals in each.

Cardiff City vs Wrexham – BTTS (1.62)

Two Championship play-off hopefuls are coming face-to-face in this one and we are not expecting either goal to remain intact.

In each of the last 5 head-to-head matches between the teams, both teams have scored at least 1 goal.

Fenerbahce vs Lyon – Fenerbahce to win (2.05); Over 1.5 goals for Fenerbahce (1.90)

A pick that might have looked insane 20 years ago but is very likely now, especially when taking the Turkish side’s home form into account.

Fenerbahce has won 7 of its last 9 home matches (D2), scoring at least 2 goals in 7 of them.

Rubin Kazan vs Spartak Moscow – BTTS (1.79)

Another stopover in Russia.

Rubin has scored in 17 of its last 19 home matches, while Spartak has scored in 16 of its last 21 away matches.

Orlando City vs Chicago Fire – Over 2.5 goals (1.39); BTTS (1.37)

And now straight over to the MLS for the next one, where goals are almost a given.

At least 3 goals have been scored in 14 of Chicago Fire’s last 16 matches, and both teams have scored at least 1 goal in 13 of those matches, including 5 of the last 7 head-to-head matches between the teams.

Trabzonspor vs Ferencvaros – Over 1.5 goals (1.25)

A Turkey vs Hungary duel in European qualifications, which offers up a great opportunity for a safety net line.

At least 2 goals have been scored in 10 of Trabzonspor’s last 12 home matches and 13 of Ferencvaros’ last 14 away matches.

Dinamo Zagreb vs Viking – Over 2.5 goals (1.55)

This is one UCL qualifier that we simply cannot picture finishing 0-0.

4 of each team’s respective last 5 matches ended with 3 or more goals scored.

Nijmegen vs Bodo/Glimt – Over 2.5 goals (1.45)

And another qualifying game that promises a lot of goals.

4 of Nijmegen’s last 5 outings and all of Bodo/Glimt’s last 6 ended with 2.5+ goals.

Atletico Madrid vs Malaga – BTTS (2.15)

Atletico have been uncharacteristically shaky at the back this summer, conceding in every one of their 4 friendlies, but scoring in all of them as well. BTTS has also landed in all 5 of Malaga’s pre-season matches.

Rangers vs Jablonec – Rangers to win (1.40)

There is a vast difference in quality between these clubs and Rangers are heavy favourites despite Jablonec’s good form at the moment (6 wins in a row).

Arsenal vs Coventry – Christos Tzolis to score or assist (1.78)

Here we go, our first Premier League pick of the 2026/27 season!

Tzolis has registered 59 appearances for club and country last season, scoring 23 goals and providing 29 assists. He also got 2 assists in his debut for Arsenal, in the Community Shield game against Man City.

Marseille vs Strasbourg – BTTS (1.50)

Ligue 1 is also starting up this Friday with a clash between Marseille and Strasbourg that will likely see a good amount of goals.

Both teams have found the net in 7 of the last 8 H2Hs.

Emmen vs Jong AZ – Over 2.5 goals (1.45)

Let’s face it, it would not be an EPLNews.org betting tips article without a pick from the second Dutch division, right?

8 of the 11 head-to-heads to ever take place between these sides ended with 3 or more goals scored.
