As August draws to a close, there is more and more football to watch and pick from to build your slips.
All major leagues have now begun and we naturally have tips from there, but also from some of our long-time favourites here at EPLNews.org HQ, like the Scottish Premiership and the Eredivisie.
As usual, do make sure to check out our YouTube channel for the best content related to the Premier League and beyond.
So let’s see what’s in store.
Coventry City vs Hull City – Over 0.5 goals for Hull City (1.55)
No better place to start than the Premier League! And it’s a clash between two of the newly-promoted sides this season.
Hull have scored at least 1 goal in 9 of their last 10 away matches, including 7 of their last 8 away matches against Coventry City.
Tottenham vs Newcastle – BTTS (1.60); Over 2.5 goals (1.67)
Looking at how these sides are performing at the moment, we believe chaos will reign supreme in Saturday’s late kick-off.
In each of the last 6 head-to-head meetings between the teams in London, both teams have scored, and in each of the 5 such meetings, at least 3 goals have been scored.
Strasbourg vs Lens – Lens to win (2.10)
Over to France for the next pick.
Strasbourg has lost 7 of its last 8 matches, while Lens has won 8 of its last 11 matches, losing only 1 of those (D2).
Manchester United vs Ipswich Town – Over 1.5 goals for Manchester United (1.45)
And now back to England, where it will be interesting to see if lightning strikes Man United twice.
Manchester United have scored at least 2 goals in 10 of their last 13 home matches, including each of the last 5 head-to-head meetings between the teams in Manchester.
Chelsea vs Brighton – Over 2.5 goals (1.62)
An interesting game between sides who love scoring against each other.
In 10 of the last 11 meetings between the teams, at least 3 goals have been scored.
Leeds United vs Brentford – BTTS (1.70)
Many people see these two teams as genuine candidates for Europe, so it will be fascinating to see how they do against each other.
Leeds have scored in 16 of their last 20 home matches, while Brentford have scored in 11 of their last 15 away matches, and both teams have scored at least one goal in 5 of their last 7 head-to-head meetings.
Paris FC vs Nice – Paris FC to win (2.12)
Once again a pick from France.
Paris FC have won 6 of their last 7 home matches, and have also won each of their 4 head-to-head meetings with Nice in Paris.
Wolves vs Stoke – Wolves to win (1.55)
And now over to the Championship, where we usually do not pick outrights, but this one is simply too good value to pass up.
Wolves are in good form, winning 3 of their 4 games in all competitions this season (D1), while Stoke have only managed to beat League Two outfit Oldham this season in the League Cup.
Celtic vs Falkirk – Celtic to win on a -1.5 Asian handicap (1.53)
Scotland is our next destination as Celtic take on Falkirk.
These two teams have faced each other 6 times since 2024, with Celtic winning all of those games and 5 of them by 2 or more goals.
Utrecht vs PSV – Over 2.5 goals (1.35)
And we end our European tour in the Netherlands, where goals are the usual market we go for.
All of Utrecht’s 3 matches this season, along with PSV’s 4 matches, ended with 3 or more goals scored. The same is true for all of the last 4 H2Hs.
