Best Football Betting Tips Today: EFL Cup, Serie A, Eerste Divisie and More This Mid-Week!

While the weekend has come and gone, there is still so much football to enjoy this mid-week despite no UEFA games taking place.

The English League Cup is returning for the fifth round and, naturally, we have picks from those games, but EPLNews.org always strives to bring you the best predictions from all across Europe and beyond.

As usual, do make sure to check out our YouTube channel for the best content related to the Premier League and beyond.

Our weekly livestreams are still on YouTube every Sunday at 9am UTC, so be sure to subscribe to our channel.

Let’s start our stroll through the picks.

AS Roma vs Cagliari – AS Roma to win (1.35)

There is a full Serie A round of play this mid-week, so it feels like a natural starting point.

Roma has won 8 of their last 11 home matches, including 9 of the last 10 head-to-head encounters in Rome.

Torino vs Como – Como to win (1.74); Over 1.5 goals for Como (1.66)

Still in Italy for this and we are backing the team that took apart Manchester United recently.

Como has won the last 3 head-to-head meetings between the two teams; they have also won their last 3 matches across all competitions, scoring at least 2 goals in each of those games.

Liverpool vs Chelsea – Over 2.5 goals (1.47)

The biggest game of the League Cup round takes place at Anfield and we can safely expect goals.

Lis:  Guardiola Vs Ten Hag ; Les deux cruyffistes à Manchester

At least 3 goals have been scored in 8 of Liverpool’s last 12 matches, as well as in 10 of Chelsea’s last 13 matches.

Venezia vs Inter – Inter to win (1.35)

Back to Italy, where we believe Inter’s stranglehold on the division will continue.

Venezia has lost 8 of their last 9 matches, while Inter has won 5 of their last 6 matches across all competitions; Inter has also won the last 5 head-to-head meetings.

CSKA Moscow vs Lokomotiv Moscow – CSKA Moscow to win (1.93)

Over to Russia for a Moscow derby pick.

CSKA has won their last 4 home matches by a margin of 2 or more goals and has also won the last 4 head-to-head encounters against Lokomotiv at the VEB Arena.

Frosinone vs Lecce – Frosinone to win (1.68)

The form of the hosts in front of their own fans is not something we can ignore here.

Frosinone has won 5 of their last 6 home matches, scoring at least 2 goals in each, while Lecce has lost 3 of their last 5 away matches.

Fleetwood vs Arsenal – Max Dowman to score or assist (1.60)

This is the sort of fixture in which Arsenal will rotate their players and Max Dowman, after scoring a brace in the previous round of the League Cup, is almost certain to start.

Sunderland vs Brentford – Brentford to win (2.05)

Will the Bees sting the Black Cats? We believe so.

Brentford have played both League Cup rounds this season away from home and won both. Sunderland are going to be more worried about their Premier League standing than cup progression, making it likely to rotate heavily for this game.

Celtic vs Dundee United – No BTTS (2.15)

Heading north of the border and we have a game that is worthy of our attention.

One team kept a clean sheet in 4 of the last 5 H2Hs, as well as in 4 of Dundee United’s last 5 matches away from home.

Fiorentina vs Atalanta – Over 2.5 goals (1.70)

One final pick from Italy and it’s a game that should bring fireworks.

3 or more goals were scored in 4 of each team’s respective last 5 matches.

Waregem vs Club Brugge – Nicolo Tresoldi to score (1.80)

Tresoldi is one of Europe’s most in-form strikers, scoring 11 goals in 12 appearances in all competitions this season.

After scoring in each of the first 3 games, he had a spell with only 1 goal in 5, but is now in outstanding form in front of goal, with 7 goals in his last 4 matches.

What’s more, Waregem are in terrible form, having lost 5 of their last 6 fixtures in all competitions.

Le Havre vs PSG – PSG to win on a -1.5 Asian handicap (1.65)

PSG are on a run of 8 consecutive victories, with 5 of them coming by 2 or more goals, while Le Havre’s 8 official games this season have resulted in 6 defeats and 2 draws.

Roda vs Jong AZ – BTTS (1.43)

And we conclude this mid-week’s compilation with a game from the second Dutch division.

BTTS has landed in 3 of Roda’s last 5, 4 of Jong AZ’s last 5 matches, as well as in 3 of the last 4 H2Hs.
