Three weeks without our favourite club competitions sounds like a long time, so we are going to make the most of this weekend by bringing you our usual bi-weekly tour of Europe for the best value tips.
Don’t worry, EPLNews.org will be here for you during the international break as well, helping you pick the juiciest lines for your slips.
But before then, let’s take a look at what’s on this weekend.

Newcastle United vs Hull City – BTTS (1.66); Over 2.5 goals (1.63)
We start off in the Premier League and we can safely expect fireworks at St. James’ Park.
BTTS has landed in 16 of Newcastle’s last 17 home matches. What’s more, at least 3 goals were scored in all of those 16 games.
Nottingham Forest vs Coventry City – Nottingham Forest to win (1.70)
Forest have not been particularly amazing this season, but a home game against Premier League’s worst side this season should not pose a problem.
Nottingham Forest have won their last 6 competitive home matches against Coventry City, while Coventry have yet to score a goal this season, having conceded 10 times in 4 matches.
AS Roma vs Inter Milan – Double chance of draw or AS Roma win (1.50); Over 1.5 goals for AS Roma (2.07)
We are going somewhat bold for this pick from the Serie A, but it’s all down to how well AS Roma have done for themselves this season.
Their recent home record is outstanding. Roma are unbeaten in their last 13 home matches, scoring at least 2 goals in 10 of them.
Paris FC vs Strasbourg – Paris FC to win (2.05)
Over to Ligue 1 for this next tip.
Paris FC have won 7 of their last 9 home matches (D1, L1), while Strasbourg have lost 5 of their last 7 away matches (D1, W1).
Man City vs Sunderland – Man City to win (1.35); Over 1.5 goals for Man City (1.40)
City are understandably big favourites for this game and we cannot see it go any other way.
Man City have won 9 of their last 10 home matches, scoring at least 2 goals in 8 of them. They also did this in 5 of the last 6 head-to-head meetings in Manchester.
Fulham vs Man United – BTTS (1.50)
United are off to Craven Cottage to play a Fulham side in disarray in the Prem, but we still believe there will be no 0 on the scoreboard come full-time.
In 9 of the last 12 head-to-head meetings, both teams scored at least 1 goal.
Sevilla vs Barcelona – Over 2.5 goals for Barcelona (1.60)
Not much else can be said about Barcelona’s attacking form this season.
They have already scored 33 goals in their first 7 matches of the season—an average of nearly 5 goals per game—and have scored at least 4 goals in each of the last 4 head-to-head meetings between the teams.
Brighton vs Arsenal – Over 0.5 goals for Brighton (1.50)
Arsenal travel to the south coast and will be in for a rough ride given the Seagulls’ goalscoring record at the Amex.
Brighton have scored at least 1 goal in 9 of their last 10 games at home.
Anderlecht vs Waregem – Over 2.5 goals (1.72)
Over to Belgium for the next couple of picks.
All of the last 11 H2Hs between Anderlecht and Waregem saw 3 or more goals scored, with all of the most recent 4 games all bringing 5 or more goals.
Antwerp vs Royale Union SG – Royale Union SG to win (1.63)
Antwerp are winless in their last 4 outings (D1, L3), while Royale Union have won all of their last 5 games, including impressive 3-0 wins over Anderlecht at home and Plzen on the road in the Europa League.
Bournemouth vs Liverpool – BTTS (1.45)
Another one of the Premier League’s Big Six is heading to the south coast and we are backing a BTTS for Andoni Iraola’s return to the Vitality Stadium.
5 of Bournemouth’s 6 matches this season ended with them scoring and conceding, while the same is true for 4 of Liverpool’s own 6 games.
Stuttgart vs Dortmund – Over 2.5 goals (1.36)
Germany is also on the agenda this weekend and goals are all but guaranteed in this massive clash.
2.5+ goals has landed in all of Stuttgart’s 5 fixtures this campaign, as well as in 5 of Dortmund’s 6 and in 7 of the last 10 direct meetings in Stuttgart.
Ajax vs Excelsior – Over 3.5 goals (1.65)
One of the best picks you will see all weekend comes from the Dutch Eredivisie.
4 or more goals were scored in 11 out of Ajax’s 12 official games this season. For their part, Excelsior have scored at least 1 goal in all of their 6 matches this season, making it more likely for BTTS and a high-scoring game against Ajax.
Furthermore, 8 of the last 10 head-to-heads have ended with 3.5+ goals.
Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid – Over 2.5 goals (1.45)
La Liga brings its first Madrid derby of the campaign this weekend and it’s another goals tip from us.
All of Atletico’s last 5 games and 4 of Real’s own last 5 have finished with 3 or more goals. The same goes for 4 of the last 5 direct meetings.
Marseille vs PSG – Ferran Torres to score (1.80)
Torres is in great form at the moment, having scored 7 goals for PSG in 6 appearances this season. PSG are heavy favourites to win this game (1.40) despite being on the road and Ferran Torres is the most likely focal point of their attack.
Petrolul vs Csikszereda M. Ciuc – Under 2.5 goals (1.75)
Our final pick is an under from Romania.
None of the 3 games between these sides played in the country’s top division have registered more than 2 goals.
