The final games of this XXL international break are upon us and we are slowly gearing up for the return of our beloved club matches.

EPLNews.org is here again to bring you the best value picks from the last few games involving national teams for this month, but with plenty of club action as well.

As usual, do make sure to check out our YouTube channel for the best content related to the Premier League and beyond.

Our weekly livestreams will finally have more Premier League flavour to it, since we will be talking about all of the coming weekend’s action, and we will be here to answer all your football-related questions every Sunday at 9am UTC.

Russia vs Nigeria – Russia to win (1.90)

We start off with one of tonight’s biggest friendlies.

Russia has won 17 of their last 23 matches, whereas Nigeria has won only 1 of their last 5 away games. Furthermore, the visitors have brought a squad that is far from their optimal or starting line-up for this match.

England vs Czechia – Over 2.5 goals (1.35)

The Three Lions are also in action tonight for the last time during this break and we expect to see goals at Wembley.

At least 3 goals were scored in 5 of England’s last 6 home matches, 5 of Czechia’s last 6 away matches, and the last 2 head-to-head meetings between the teams played in England.

Croatia vs Spain – Spain to win (1.30)

After that 7-goal disaster against England, Croatia are now hosting group-toppers Spain and there is only one way this is ending.

Spain has won 10 consecutive matches and has also beaten Croatia in their last 4 head-to-head encounters.

Switzerland vs North Macedonia – Switzerland to win + over 1.5 goals for Switzerland (1.35)

Switzerland has won 10 of their last 12 home matches, scoring at least 2 goals in 10 of them, while North Macedonia is winless in their last 8 away games, losing 6 of them.

Colombia vs Peru – Over 1.5 goals (1.38)

A South American clash is next on the agenda.

At least 2 goals were scored in 7 of Colombia’s last 11 home matches and in 9 of Peru’s last 10 away matches.

USA vs Canada – BTTS (1.65)

Two of the hosts of last summer’s World Cup face each other and we are looking at a BTTS angle.

The USA has scored in 14 of their last 15 home matches, while Canada has scored in 9 of their last 10 away matches; additionally, both teams scored in 4 of the last 5 head-to-head meetings between the national teams in the USA.

Kazakhstan vs Faroe Islands – BTTS (2.00)

Another BTTS tip lights up when we look at this League C clash.

BTTS has landed in all of Kazakhstan’s last 5 outings and in all of Faroe’s last 3. No one kept a clean sheet in 5 of the 6 head-to-heads that have ever taken place either.

Blackpool vs Crewe – BTTS (1.50)

The first of many club football picks in this mid-week’s selection comes to us from the EFL Trophy.

9 of Blackpool’s last 10 fixtures ended with them scoring and conceding at least once, while the same stands for 8 of Crewe’s own last 10 (and all of the last 7).

Lis:  Récapitulatif de la Ligue Europa : Aston Villa et Nottingham Forest progressent grâce à des victoires déclarées

Albania vs San Marino – Albania to win on a -3.0 Asian handicap (1.50)

We expect San Marino to be at the wrong end of another mauling here.

They are used to losing by sizeable margins, especially on the road. 3 of their last 5 away games ended with them losing by 4 or more goals.

HJK vs VPS – HJK to win (1.55)

Over to Finland for this next pick.

HJK have beaten VPS in 3 of the last 4 H2Hs (L1). Meanwhile, VPS are in poor form at the moment, having lost 7 of their last 10 fixtures (W3).

Shamrock Rovers vs Drogheda – Double chance of draw or Drogheda to win (2.85)

We don’t often include picks from Ireland’s top league, but we found a very bold one.

While the teams do sit at opposite ends of the table, Shamrock’s form is very poor at the moment, only winning 1 of their last 8 matches (D4, L3).

Meanwhile, Drogheda have registered 3 wins in their last 4 games (L1).

Veres-Rivne vs Shakhtar Donetsk – Shakhtar Donetsk to win (1.30)

Over to Ukraine for an outright pick.

Both teams have started the season relatively well, but with the gap in quality as well as the head-to-head record heavily favouring Shakhtar (last 10: W8, D2, L0), the visitors should be able to seal a comfortable win.

West Ham vs QPR – Over 1.5 goals for West Ham (1.50)

The Championship is also starting again on Friday and West Ham are still one of the biggest teams there.

Bowen & Co. have scored 2 or more goals in all of their last 6 matches.

Dortmund vs Werder Bremen – Over 3.5 goals (2.00)

Our final pick of the mid-week comes from Germany’s top division.

3 of Dortmund’s last 5 and 4 of Bremen’s own last 5 fixtures ended with at least 4 goals scored.
